CME ORGANISED BY PIDPWS AT KODAGU INSTITUE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES, MADIKERI on 07.06.2019
PID disorders cause much grief, pain and drudgery to patients and their family members. A good part of this grief can be attributed to lack of awareness among health care providers, patients, their families and general public.
A large majority of PIDs can be easily diagnosed with a simple and inexpensive blood test but many remained under diagnosed on a large scale. Appropriate access to treatments like immunoglobulin replacement therapy or bone marrow transplant is essential to ensure patients live active and productive lives.
This CME is an attempt to bring Primary Immunodeficiency disorders out of shadows and into the spotlight, helping to improve outcomes through timely diagnosis, optimal treatment and deliberate attention and care.
The expert doctors/speakers from across the country will enlighten us with the knowledge and skills to make a difference in this once neglected field. The program with go a long way in equipping health acre providers, students and faculties with the confidence and competence to consider, diagnose and treat these disorders.
